PfAM

some of our tools

PfAM

Our creative approach to understanding future human potential has led us to develop a revolutionary new approach to assessment. PfAM takes a far more in-depth look at the individual’s potential to deal with complexity in decision-making, then projects it into the future, so that we can predict their potential across the course of their career.

PfAM builds on specific psychometric and 360 degree assessment tools. At the heart of this groundbreaking and creative new approach to assessment is the simple equation of human behaviour:

P = f (A x M): Performance is a function of Ability and Motivation.

On the ability side, much current assessment work today looks at what we call “applied capability” ie: the level of information complexity at which a person is using judgement and decision-making in their current work.

Using a combination of interviews, exercises, psychometric tests, competency assessments and other work, Quo’s approach goes much further than this. Using a new model of the 8 stages of potential to deal with complexity, we are able to gauge the individual’s “potential capability”, the highest level of complexity at which a person can operate. But our model goes further. We are able to predict a “future capability”, the level of potential capability that a person will possess at any given time in the future.

In other words, we can predict an individual’s potential at any time in their future career. The sort of information that our clients find a revolutionary insight and a hugely powerful tool to help understand their people and the right direction for them.  Management can make better-informed long-term decisions about development and succession, and devise better career planning for high-flyers.

The PfAM approach can be delivered via one-on-one programmes or for groups via Development Centres.

Without the 360 degree element, PfAM can be used in an Assessment Centre context to enable a dynamic evaluation of the career potential of executive applicants.
